The European aluminium industry is committed to sustainable development

Sustainable development is the framework within which the European aluminium industry is taking forward its commitment to future generations.

The goal of the industry is to behave as a responsible economic player, meeting customers needs, generating the desired returns for shareholders, while providing employment and minimising the environmental effects of its operations.

The European aluminium industry believes that aluminium, as a ductile, light and recyclable material, can play a significant role in the world of today and tomorrow. Many initiatives have been undertaken to reassess the balance between our economic, environmental and social objectives.
